So what aspect of God’s obedience am I thankful for? Philippians 2:6-8

6“Who, being in very naturea God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very natureb of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!”

God is nothing like me. He is perfect. I can really trust him. Even with the hurt that I have endured or even when I’m confused about something. If I can just look at him and see his humility and love- His love that has no boundaries- & his humility that says, “NOT even my thrown kept me from coming to save you personally and bringing YOU close to me” than I can trust him and be thankful for what he has ALREADY done in my life. His very nature is love. His obedience was done in love.

So what aspect of God’s obedience am I thankful for? It would be Christ Humility and unfailing steadfast love to come in a human body and die on a cross for ME so that I could be adopted as a child of God!!! I’m a women who is soooooooo undeserving of this right, but God has clothed me with his righteousness has changed, is changing and will change my heart in its entirety.

New Poems - New season

The Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
Humble you are. Coming down from your throne to pardon me. Dying a death you did not deserve. My rightful place, I did deserve. This wretched sinner that I am. Nonetheless, you came, conquered sin and death making me alive. While also granting me eternal life. This gift of God who could deny? Oh not me, oh not I. For is it only by grace through faith I have been saved. Any other way is considered vain.

A Relentless Love
You're more colorful than rainbows. More brighter than stars. You're stronger than kings, bigger than knights. Your Love towers over, it covers the deepest sin. Oh Lord, you are the reason for the righteousness of men!! Come let me lay in the bosom of your love so that I may not forget the height, the depth of it ~ and receive your sweet forgiveness.
